about

Recorded live at Smith’s Alternative, Canberra. Many thanks to Nigel and Beth for providing a great space for music, and to Bevan for helping us sound good.

Mixed and mastered by Dylan Slater. Album photography by Teetash Roy. Design and layout by James Allen.

This album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered on Ngunnawal country and we wish to pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

Huge thank you to our families, friends, and other supporters who made this possible. Special thanks to Jacqui for joining us on stage, Daniel for writing a new verse to “Lachlan Tigers” which greatly improves the song, and to Donal and all the folks at the Old-Timey session for sharing their music with us.

Art is a collaborative effort and Scroggin would like to acknowledge the inspiration(s) for our songs. Love and thanks go to the Significant Others who inspired “My Baby” and “F.O.M.O”, and thanks and awe to the natural beauty of the region we live in, which is responsible for “When the Wattles Bloom” and “Southern Tablelands”. We wish to thank Australia’s long and enthusiastic support for a toxic vision of masculinity, which inspired “Manly”. We must also acknowledge the decades of neo-liberal economic policy that has created the nightmarish reality of job-insecurity and stagnant wage growth that inspired “Student Life Blues”, and the continuing neglect of Australia’s rural communities by our political class which set the scene for “Warburton”.
